Abortions to reduce multiple births on the rise
Submitted by Neil G on Fri, 30/12/2011 - 11:42
Just ban IVF, full stop. Ample evidence shows it leads to preventible multiple births and preventible birth defects (even in singel births). More important, it reduces fertility to a mere human right and lifestyle choice rather than a natural blessing requiring love, affection and huge parental commitment and responsibility. Worse still, the current mass marketed IVF fad precludes more humane and rational options for couples unable to conceive like adoption, fostering and simply looking after nephews and nieces in a more cohesive community with extended families. The UK's population is set to hit 70 millon by 2025 and the world population has already reached 7 billion. There's no lack of children and worldwide tens of millions of unwanted children. In the UK alone 200,000 children are either severely neglected and/or in care. Say no to eugenics! Spread your love, not your selfish genes!
